In collaboration with Songmics.
I am so excited to tell you about this cat tree! We’ve got two cats, nine-year-old Izzy (a Cat’s Protection rescue) and three-year-old Echo, the daughter of a barn cat. They’re good friends but they can have a tendency to shred furniture and my cork bathmat (which needs replacing, again!).
Now, though, they’ve got this rather fantastic Cat Tree Activity Centre from Songmics to play on, and I have to say, it’s rather fantastic!
It’s quite a large construction, measuring 50 cm by 50 cm at the base, and standing 154 centimetres high. Despite its size, it’s very sturdy. It comes flatpacked and the step-by-step assembly instructions are simple and clear to follow. The centre platform features a fabric strap that you can fix to the wall for extra reassurance that it won’t topple over.
Made from a gorgeously soft velvet fabric with plenty of sisal twine scratching posts, it’s soft and luxurious with plenty of places for your cats to explore and hide. The cat house even has a little window they can peek out!
Other features include a hammock, a horsetail and three jingling balls your cats can swipe at until their hearts are content.
I am really impressed at the value for money of this product – it retails on Amazon for just £48.99. Echo and Izzy are now the happiest cats in the world right now that they’ve got this activity centre!

I have 5 cats that are all rescues or strays that have adopted us., Smirnoff is my oldest he was run over when younger lost his tail and because of the accident he is double incontinent and original owners couldn’t cope with that. Next is Aeryn also a rescue she is a Calico cat and has a thyroid problem. Then there’s Midnight she had been visting our house for about 6 years at first couldn’t get near her but after a lot of patience, I can now pick her up, she lives with us now and loves to sit next to me and cuddle. We are now working on her to be comfortable with my son. Another stray we have named Whiskers again he had been coming to ours for a few years, he will now let me stroke him and will come up to me especially if I have food, he is a very big cat and comes and goes. Lastly our newest addition last year is Shadow, originally called Scarface as he had half his face missing all bloody and bits of skin hanging off very nasty. He would visit my garden so we borrowed a trap from RSPCA to catch him (caught a few of my own cats first!) and took him to vets for treatment. My son decided he wanted to keep him rather than let RSPCA rehome him, so he came home with us he still has a patch of skin on his face that the fur will not regrow but my son changed his name to Shadow as he is black, he’s quite a character and very loving to both of us but unfortunately hates Whiskers and will fight. So that’s our cat family and they would love to win this prize would keep them occupied and happy.

We have Wiffy, she loves to skulk off and find her favourite resting place for the day, usually in the bottom of my wardrobe on top of my clean jumpers!! She refuses to drink from a bowl, instead she sits in the bath and meows at anyone passing until they turn the tap on! She does love to play and often when the kids are in bed, I’ll catch her flying around the house, bouncing off walls and pouncing on unsuspecting toys left lyiong around! I would love to give my little diva her own castle to rule…

We’ve had allsorts in our house, including rabbits and pigeons…

I have 2 cats. A girl and boy. I flew them out all the way from Africa to come live with me in Europe. They miss the African sunshine and are finding it hard to adapt to European winter. My boy is depressed because he cannot play outside and the grass is always wet. He has a lot of pent – up energy and I feel a little guilty about displacing him, and bringing him to such gloomy weather. He’s a rescue cat and we nearly lost him when he was 2 months old. He’s a beautiful little boy and I love him dearly. He is a “human” cat. My girl is a real princess and loves sleeping on the radiator in winter. She has high anxiety and clams down when there’s food involved (of course!) Cats are really the best companions to have. I don’t care about the crazy cat lady title. I’m proud to be one and hope to add a lot more to my feline family someday.

I have 3 cats, two of them are rescue cats called tigger an pooh,we also just got a new kitten called sammy.my eldest cat tigger is approx 14 years old,she got pregnant pretty quick after we got her(my son found her in some disused garages ,cold and very wet and hungry)we decided to keep one of her kittens and called him smudge, sadly smudge got cancer and died last year,my two daughters and i were very upset when he died,he left a great big crazy hole in our lives, smudge wasnt like normal cats,he was very intelligent,he thought he was a dog,he liked to play fetch and would regularly sneak in food bags and bring crisp packets to my two daughters to open for him to eat, he was also a great best friend to our dog mitzi, they were forever kissing each other and getting up to mischeif,we made a lovely memorial for him where he is buried in our garden, luckily tigger doesn’t seem to be suffering which was a major worry for us,she might be old now but she still likes to get up to mischeif too, wether thats hiding in my wardrobe and jumping out in the night or climbing in drawers and not being able to get out.pooh is the quieter cat,he spends most of his time either eating or outdoors, sammy is the baby, when we got him he was so quiet but hes soon made up for that,he drives me bonkers,he runs up and down like a crazy cat making funny noises, hes 11 months old and pure black with green eyes and absolutely beautiful,im too scared to let him out incase he gets pinched, some people call them pets,i call them family

We have 2 cats that are both 1 years old.One is a black cat called Alfie and the other a tabby called Jasper.
They came from an animal shelter as kittens and I love them both so much. Some of their litter didn’t survive but the care of the staff at the shelter got the rest of them through and they allowed me to adopt them.
The lady was quite surprised when I picked a black kitten as usually they are the hardest to home but I had a black cat for 19 years and he was amazing so I’m very fond of them and to me colour doesn’t matter.
I’m so glad to have them in my life.

We had two sisters for 16 years and one after the other we had to let them go, heart breaking. Well last year a vet friend of mine showed me a photo of two 6 month kittens found in a box at the side of the road, no room left at the RSPCA so they were heading for an uncertain future at a holding center …… needless to say we now have 2 male 1 year olds and we should have called them Ronnie and Reggie, they eat everything, love a mince pie and if left alone for one night they poo anywhere but the litter tray. I love them!

I only have one at the moment, Paws. Her sister passed away a few years ago, so then we finally got her a new little brother to play with. He became extremely poorly & passed away 2 years later. Paws is getting a bit old now & her back legs aren’t what they used to be, & along with her epilepsy, we don’t think we will get her a new playmate. The problem is, we have to chase her around the house like her siblings did, just to keep her occupied, lol
Debby
Our 2 cats are very different characters. Jack was a stray that hung around the garden all one summer then we found him collapsed on our doorstep on Halloween night – that was 10 years ago and he just moved in. Jack is by no means a lap-cat and doesn’t like to be stroked much or picked up at all, is a bit of a selfish bugger and a menace to the garden wildlife like birds and the squirrels, but has always has fox friends; Disney was his best mate and used to call for him daily to play, hunt and just hang out, then another vixen, Stringer, now Alfie and the rest of the fox family – he likes them all but always seems to single one out as a special friend. Chloe is our fluffy girl that loves my better half, is a proper lap cat and loves lots of fuss. Chloe originally belonged to neighbours that moved in upstairs but she came round here a day or two after moving in and decided she wanted to live here (the neighbours were bloody useless and when she left she even left her kids behind and certainly wasn’t bothered about the cat, so Chloe had the right idea!) We love them both and even though we’d both had dogs in the past we can’t imagine a cat-free house now. Chloe is the most likely of the two to enjoy this activity tree Jack may well investigate it too.
Emily Hutchinson

Alix Boswell
I have 5 cats – the oldest is diamond, I got her when I was 13 years old and she had a litter of kittens as she got out the window and I went out looking for her every day but couldn’t find her,but then one morning she was sitting on the bin in my front garden heavily pregnant. She only had 3 kittens and now she is 12 years old. and we ended up keeping one of the kittens, which is the second cat – Crystal, we thought he was a girl so that’s why we called him crystal but then we found out he was a boy but we kept the name and he is now 10 years old. Then we got another kitten, called Roxy, she was adorable and now she is 8 years old. Then this year I adopted a rescue kitten called Baxter, he was so cute I couldn’t resist!! He’s now 10 months old and he is a bundle of joy and so naughty, he was supposed to be the last cat but then I was on the bus and a woman had a kitten in a box saying she was just going to dump it because it weren’t getting on well with her other cat so I said you can’t just dump a kitten in the middle of nowhere, anything could happen so I took the kitten home and Baxter my kitten absolutely loved him and 5 minutes later they were both playing together, we called him coco and he is about 9 months old now and we found out he’s a Maine coon breed and these breeds grow really big, he is 9 months old but he looks about 5 years old he is huge! I actually had a cat tree when they were little but it broke haha so they would love a new one!
Kev Cannon
We have a tabby cat called Monty who is 4 years old and is a bit aloof. He loves fighting with his toy stuffed dinosaur and also attacking feet that are left sticking out from under the duvet. Previously we had two black cats called Lennie and Chloe who were very friendly loved to play. Monty loves sleeping on his cushion and trampling on our faces in the morning to say “hello! i’m hungry”. Monty also has his own facebook page so he can share his photos with his friends.
Emma Walton
I have 8 cats! I started off with two – Lily (calico) and Winnie (tortoiseshell). Then I found Ollie (ginger) in a pet shop. He was poorly and we had to make a lot of vet visits. I then spotted Maggie (white) in the same pet shop. She was so ill she nearly died but she’s very well now. I wanted a snowshoe and we got Frankie who is a chocolate and cream colour and then I decided to get a black cat. I ended up getting 2 – Loki who is half Persian and Elsie. Finally, we rescued Mosey who is black and white. My husband has now banned me from having anymore cats!
