Whip up these easy, no-bake chocolate coconut balls (aka Norwegian sjokoladekuler/sjokoladeboller) in just 15 minutes. Perfect for a festive sweet treat!
What are Norwegian sjokoladekuler?
Norwegian sjokoladekuler, or chocolate balls, are a beloved festive treat in Norway that combines simplicity and indulgence.
These no-bake snacks are typically made from a mixture of oats, sugar, cocoa powder, butter, and a hint of vanilla.
Rolled into small, bite-sized balls, they are often coated in desiccated coconut or sprinkles, adding a delightful texture.
Sjokoladekuler are perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth and are commonly enjoyed over the Christmas and New Year period with a hot cup of coffee.
Easy to make and utterly delicious, these chocolate balls are a staple in Norwegian homes.
This recipe was given to me by my Norwegian ex-mother-in-law. It was a firm family favourite when my children were young.
